Hello Everyone

this is my 1st post. I have a 2008 H3 3.7 automatic. I’ve had this H3 for almost a month and have been work through some issues (replaced radiator, throttle body clean, MAP clean, brakes..you know small stuff).

i have a rattle that does not fluctuate with the engine RPMs or speed of travel. does it standing still and moving.

anybody ran into this?

check all under plates and wiggled around on everything. Nothing seems loose.

is there emissions or vac situations that could cause this consistent rattling noise?

 

Check all of your heat shielding on the exhaust system.
Start under the hood and pull (gently) on the header heat shield. Then go down the whole exhaust.

X2 what Happy Hummer said. Common cause for rattles are pesky heat shields.

Exhaust manifold heat shield needs oversized washers.
Exhaust system heat shields needs new clamps.

 

To late to give it a go over. Will do it tomorrow when the sun out.
