Default Car dies unexpectedly

So I just replaced the head gasket. Runs good no problems . The only thing I been experiencing is when I took the car for a test drive I was doing a turn at slow speed and the car died . So I started it again and no problem. Today I was testing it driving it around and I put it on reverse and was going reverse and it died . What could cause this???

another thing is that I just flushed my coolant system with distilled water. Everytime I drive and check the next day the reservoir missing a good amount of water. It’s been like 2 to 3 times in a row? Where did the water go?? I checked the oil dip stick it still oily . If the water mixes there it would’ve shown on the dipstick right ? I still have distilled water in there

You may have a leak from your head gasket. Putting water in your oil...

Proceed carefully.

I once drove a car with water, back in 1982, it was a 1976 olds 88 with a 350 and when the engine seized & left me stranded, I left it there and walked away!

i let the car sit over night and this morning I drained the oil, if there was water in the system the water will come out then turn to oil . Oil came out right away so I don’t think I have water getting mixed up there… so does that mean I have maybe a leak somewhere?? Or maybe there are too much air in the system that she still drinks ?

Also why the car just dies randomly ?

Let's take these as two separate items, issues.

Retrace your steps with the gasket installation. You must have missed something or your MAF, TB need cleaning.
Secondly, your radiator or hoses must be leaking. Get some U.V. dye and black light.

It can take a few cycles to burp the air out of the cooling system. I don't know how much coolant you are adding each time.
Coolant leaks into the engine oil or the transmission fluid, burns out the tail pipe, or leaks externally. Check those things. You can get your fluids tested for contaminants if you suspect it but it is not obvious.

i was checking all the plugs and the coolant sensor plug wasn’t all the way in so i made sure its clicked when I touch it and wiggle it the car like act little weird maybe it’s shorten and touching causing the car to die ?

I just went to a drive and it didn’t die I just it coolant in the system now and changed the oil.
