Default A/C not working

So the guy I bought this from told me he put a new compressor in the car (looks new) but it never worked. I have to pull the wheel well to ohm the clutch still, but what else could I check? (Fuse is good) When you turn the switch for A/C the clutch does not engage. I can't find the pressure switch, I have check the freon level and it is sitting about 35 not running. I am hoping he added oil when he put on the compressor. Thanks

When I turn the AC switch on it lights up, I checked for voltage at the compressor clutch wire and have not power to engage the clutch. Usually a low pressure switch or something like that is the cause but I can't seem to find one. Any help would be appreciated.

I cant believe how dumb I am, no it's not fixed. I forgot why I disconnected the compressor in the first place. The ac clutch fuse blows when you try to turn on the ac. So I was going to ohm the clutch to see if it is bad. But I still don't understand why I have no power to the plug when I turn on the ac?

Today I checked for power at the fuse, no power on either side. Does the power come from the ac switch in the car? I pulled the relay and have power at the relay. I am by myself so I can't start the car and turn on the relay to hear it click, not sure if it works. I did swap relays but still no power to the fuse.

I would take it to an a/c specialist.

Normally I would except I have no seats in it at all, waiting to get them back from the upholstery shop. So I figured I would try and fix it while waiting. I don't know if you have read any of the other post I have written but if I took it to have all these problems fixed by someone else I would have to take out a second mortgage to pay for it.

All fixed, looking at the fuse box I notice the diode was not sitting like the one for the wipers. Flipped it around and it fit in the slot. I believe that is why my fuse was blowing. Did a relearn on the ac controls. Hooked up my gauges to the ac system and what do you know, empty! The previous owner put in a new compressor but didn't tight the liquid line all the way. Nice and cold now. Thanks for all your help.
