Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
So now that I have some time off from work I figured I'd get to my mom's blower motor on her 2007 H3. The motor doesn't work on any speed. The problem started about 3 months ago. Was driving home one day and noticed the blower motor wouldn't come on. When I got home I decided to check fuses and such. I found a fuse labeled heater switch that was blown but figured it wasn't the issue since it was only a small 10a fuse. Still it was blown so I figured I'd replace it but I couldn't find a spare and was late for work. I drove 6m to work with no working blower but on the way home it magically started to work and worked for a whole week without me doing anything. I did replace the heater switch fuse the next day. Fast forward to now and it doesn't work on any speed. I've checked all the fuses and swapped out the HVAC relay several times. The control unit seems to be working but I can't be 100% sure. If I turn the dial the actuators work, if I press the buttons they all light up and do what their supposed to do and the temp control works. I just can't be 100% that the speed selection **** is working. Now I've checked out the resistor/connector and it appears to be fine. The resistor/connector were replaced a few years ago by the dealer for a recall. The next logical step I thought would be to check if I have power going to the motor. I disconnected the blower motor, hooked up a volt meter to the brown wire labeled ignition 3 voltage and hooked the black lead to a ground. I figured I'd see 12v but I see varying voltages from 2-12v and different times. When I turn the selector switch to off I see voltage as well from 8-12v. Now if I hook my meter up to the orange wire labeled high blower motor control and then to ground I get 0 volts when the **** is set to 4 (high speed). I don't feel the high speed relay clicking on either so I don't think it's getting voltage. I suppose I could hook the motor directly to the battery to ensure that isn't the problem but I assume the voltage issues need to be dealt with first. Where does everyone think I should go from here?
Is this a new recall? The only recall that was done was for the blower resistor and connector. When I checked last month there were no other recalls present for my mom's VIN.
I finally figured it out and you were right. The HVAC wire harness and the female end that connects to the BCM were fried. I ordered a couple of replacements online and they should arrive next week some time.

I am having the same issue and having difficulties to find the female connector. Are you will to provide me the where you purchased them?

Not a good idea to dig up FOUR YEAR OLD THREADS to tack on a question. You suppose the place the OP bought theirs still has them and in stock from back then??? READ: Old Threads/'Necro-Bumping'
