I just finished my last can of CD-2 Engine Detailer . This stuff was the best...see Doc's thread (https://www.hummerforums.com/forum/p...detailer-6973/). Doc, was wondering if you've found a replacement that you're just as happy with.

I will let you into my secrets of auto detailing under the hood.
1-Open hood, vacuum or use a blower to remove debris then spray down with a garden hose.
2-Use a

Well, not completely. That CD2 Detailer was the shizzle!
The rights/formula was sold to GUNK or its holding company.... blah blah. They modified it and call it "Engine Protector Shine". Its is OK, but it gets sticky/tacky when it is drying and then stuff can stick to the surface, like dust, leaves... Still looking for a better replacement.

That's what I read in the reviews so I avoided it. I've got some '303 Aerospace Protectant' which has worked great on the car and boat and got good reviews as an engine detailer, (which I haven't tried on the engine). I might give that a try and since it's water based it will dry without any sticky mess.
