No problem when properly wired!
H3 has Retained Accessory Power (RAP)
which will allow certain features of your vehicle
to continue working for up to 20 minutes after the
ignition key is turned to LOCK.
The radio, front wipers, power windows, and a sunroof
if your vehicle has one, will work when the ignition
key is in ON or ACC. Once the key is turned from
ON to LOCK, these features will continue to work for
up to 20 minutes or until a door is opened.

omedus, when you start a thread asking about your H3....... always: Year; Model (H3s 4); Miles; recent mods and or work done that may impact your issue.

You lost me at short? Yes a short could cause a temporary draw, until the fuse burns, cutting the circuit=no draw.
Parasitic draw will most likely drain a battery in a day or two. Highly recommend to get the battery tested first, since most auto repair/parts facilities will do for FREE! A good read/free check here::> Firestone
