Default Aftermarket Bumpers

Anyone know where you can get a aftermarket bumper for 2006 H3? Slammed a deer and basically keeping everything together with zip ties. Metal bar across bottom is bent in also so thought it would be better to buy a new bolt on bumper that won’t break the bank.

ARB, they look great, but might break your bank. Boulder Accessories is long out of business and used ones do not pop on the market often but would be cheaper if available. Couple others I can think of, all no longer available new.

How's the deer?

Here go. Just weld it and paint. Conversely you can get premade .

ARB does look great. There aren't a lot of options for us. Another aftermarket off-road bumper besides the ones Doc said is from THORPARTS. They just recently made another batch of front and rear metal off-road bumpers. Rears are gone I think, there were still a few fronts left, if that's something you would like. Not cheap but not again not something everybody has. I think they are $1500.

Can the Center part under the bumpier be replaced? See picture. Mine has some rust on it. Anyone know the name of this part, where I can get

one and can this part be replaced? I heard sometimes if you take the bumper apart it’s very had to be put together.

Nothing hard about removing the bumper, taking it apart, and putting it back together. Unplug the fog lights and 8 bolts (plus 2 small torx heads if your model had them in the center of the D Ring Brackets). On a 1-10 scale, about a 2.5.

The center part of the bumper, #16 the metal box is an bumper impact bar and they used one part for the 2006-07, and a different one for 2008+. You will likely also need the bumper filler #29 as they get broke easy and provide the support for the cover and brackets etc.. The filler is all plastic, widely available for about $200, the bumper impact bar, NOT. Look on ebay, they are available used for less.

This is the inside of my old 07 bumper to give you an idea, just a bunch of clips and small bolts holding it all together.

I repainted mine and this is a perfect match. You want the 'Aluminum' version.

Perfect. Could I get away with not take the bumper off, dealing with the rust and the paint or does it have to come off?

thanks everyone for your help. It’s much appreciated.

As Doc said, it's not difficult, just a pain in the *** to have to do if your only concern is paint touch up. Mine starting to show rust in the exact same area as yours. I've had the bumper assembly apart so I know how to do it, I just didn't want to go thru the hassle for some touch up. Mask off the area and sand or wire brush and use the recommended paint. True, you won't be able to get the rust behind the plastic trim but it will look good enough that you'll be happy with the results.
