Looking at the PIAA blades I notice they are Flat with Multi Flex points as Z man says. They look well made. Is someone here using them?

Most wiper blades will sit flat on the windshield as long as the wiper arms have good spring tension. Wiper blades with a protective cover on the pivots to keep out debris will last a lot longer.

I have a set coming next week.
All the 16” blades with a standard curb don’t cover 100%.
The Goodyear’s do a pretty awesome job, hate to make the change but with silicone blades you can’t go wrong.

Had a similar issue, in my case it was the wiper-arm linkage, the bushing on the bearings had worn-out so the wiper-arms could lifted away from the glass, there was also a loud "clunk" as the wipers changed direction due to the excessive play in the bearings.

It was an easy fix, take a thick rubber washer with a hole the same size as the bearing shaft, put a slice in the washer and ease over the shaft so the wiper-mount cant move away.

It worked very well and has lasted years!

Not saying its the same issue, but it's easy to check, pull on the wiper side and if there's a large amount of play that will be the issue, also listen for a "clunk"
