Default Windshield wipers missing areas

Replaced blades with premium Rain X
Replaced both arms with OEM GM arms.
Still missing the exact same areas.
Any ideas? Bad windshield?

You replaced the arms, do they have good spring tension to hold the blades TIGHT against the windshield?
You installed new wiper blades:
-What length blades did you install?
-Did you clean the rubber part of the blades with alcohol wipes(pinched between your fingers up/down until the wipes stop showing black residue) to remove the new rubber buildup?
Did you thoroughly clean the windshield removing all contaminates to a crystal clear finish?
More information needed for further advice.

The new arms do have good spring tension. Specifically checked.
The new blades are 16" - as per the manual.
I did not clean the blades with alcohol.
The windshield was clean - with a commercial cleaner and lint free paper shop towels.
I also (2x) swapped the new blades to the other side. The areas remained untouched regardless of which blade.

I will clean with alcohol and give it another go.
Appreciate the reply.

Just cleaned the blades with 91% alcohol. No difference.
I was "surprised" at how much black came off.
I think I will try another set of blades. However, there is clear "non-contact" between the blade and windshield during the wiping stroke.

I will check with feelers to see if there is any gap at rest.

they were "wiggly" when installing the new arms. Not lose, but some minimal play when massaging the new arms on. Didn't think much of it - at the time. A good suggestion.

Default .006 feeler indicates gaps

Just checked contact (at rest) with a .006 feeler. Gaps present that align with the missed areas.

Time to research wiper blades.

Have used Rain X blades for years. Always the premium style. Replace every fall. Never had an issue with any other vehicle.
This H2 sut is new to me. Learning this "used" vehicle.

Wiper blades have multiple pivots check to make sure ALL pivots move freely.

Your blades are not moving properly at the pivots. Try lubricating the pivots or get a better quality set of blades.
