Hummer H2For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.
You are correct I did not actually see what the code number was the guy at the shop just told it was the wheel speed sensor which on my meter I discovered I have to have it selected to M ohms before it will read anything and I discovered that after I had a new one in my hands and the old one reads the same as the new on or very close so I I stalled the new one just because I will hang onto the old one and I still have the same lights and the same messages as in the picture so I will need to dig I to this thing a little deeper I was just hoping it would be the sensor since it's 8 degrees and snowing and the H2 is outside so I was just throwing a part at it with it being so cold but now I will need to check the wiring or any other ideas that someone might have I don't have a code reader does anyo e know which one I should get that would work on this beast Thanks
DTCodes sooo important, think you should be that before going any further, wild goose and all that.
The wiring diagram indicates the sensors are inductive, not 100% sure about this nor what the resistance should be (BTW 1KΩ = 0.001MΩ) Getting value would help in testing and diagnostics as per the video.
I've attached the connector pinouts pdf, as you can see the speed sensors wire directly to the ABS module mounted on the chassis under the driver's position.
The right rear wires are Brown (882) & White(bb3) they go directly to SCBM Module Pins 1 & 2 respectively.
I'd be tempted to inspect the RR cable for breaks and condition of the the ECBM connector pins. Check for connectivity, should be low Ω if so the next stop could be the ABS module itself (let's hope you don't need to go there 🤞
There is a "Tang" on the ABS which you pull-out but access is very tight down there..
