Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

What have you done to your h2 today?

Man that looks nice!
Any issues hooking it up to your stereo? How's the sound quality? Also, is the screen blocking your AC vents?

Thanks man...

Well u have to sacrifice all the steering control for this installation. Its not an issue to me as my clarion also not hookup to the steering control,so i get used to it. The installation process is normal just u need to consider the LCD is not blocking the A/C Vent mine is great not obstructing the vent at all. Final product is awesome. It is running 2 RAM and ANDROID 5.1.1 . As i said earlier, there's tons of apps i can choose from in the apps store.

Here's the link to it

I bought them from HummerPartsClub, they were a little pricey though. I also replaced the handles with new chrome handles.

I have a set of gloss black billet buckets for sale if you want those. They have some fine scratches from storage but other than that they're ready to go!

Adjusted my torsion keys to fix what someone screwed up along the way. Now the vehicle doesn't float like a boat; it just shakes still, lol. Now I just have to tweak them.
One small fix at a time.

I've bought the Spyder LED smoked front markers to complete blacking out my H2. However I'm kind of nervous about removing the front grille to install them because the temp. here dropped to 33F and we all know how plastic clips react to that.

You can squeeze the metal clips from the rear to let the grill fall out. Obviously have someone on the bottom to catch the grill so it doesn't hit the ground. Very easy to remove without pulling on the thing.

Took the H2 in to have it aligned...
and they couldn't align it.

Ended up talking to the guy & he said that my ball joints & inner tie rods are shot. He stated that if he aligned it, rolling the rig off the lift would put everything out of alignment instantly. He was puzzled since everything is aftermarket & heavy duty.

They were replaced in December of last year. Short of some "offroading" on a empty lot, it's be been 100% city/highway driving.

I called D-Max Store & they said to submit a claim through their warranty page, including pics. Fun. I didn't have time today to get to any pics, so that'l be uploaded tomorrow.

At least the upper ball joint is bolt on & doesn't require a press.

As for tie rods, I need a really large wrench. Any idea what size?
Here's a picture comparison:

Replaced both my inner tie rods & ball joints.
Now I just need to get an alignment (tomorrow, hopefully).

Word to the wise. If you get the Kryptonite tie rods and are using the stock center link , pick up a 2" wrench. You need it to properly tighten the inter tie rod.

As well, Kryptonite said that they would honor the warranty. I have to ship them back, so I'll report back when they uphold their part of the bargain.

12" wrench for scale.

Got to do it .. Even thinking in replace the arms with cognito (is it worth it? ) . What brand would you recommend based on your experience. Even I do not off-road I rather to go with heavy duty
