Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

What have you done to your h2 today?

Swapped out all of the incandescent ceiling lights (there's 7 total) with SMD 6000k bulbs.
They are a lot brighter & don't generate heat. I'm waiting to see if 12 diodes is enough or if I need to move to 20 diode lights.

I attempted to install the T10 / 194 socket SMD bulbs, but despite the claim that they are 9mm, they don't fit. I might have to go with a generic LED instead. I was hoping for them to put out more light, though.

Anyone out there with an 08/09, does the clock in the center panel use a soldered in LED light or is there a bulb?
I'd rather not pull everything apart just to find out.

i had a busy day today! replaced both rear rotors. (they were shot- and the insides were rusted and gouged. the pads werent even touching), had the front rotors turned and they cleaned up nicely. replaced all pads and brake fluid. replaced idler and pitman arms. the rest of the suspension parts are in good shape. a little surface rust but otherwise good to go. got new tires too! went with cooper discoverer at3's (315 70 17's).

next on list is shocks and differential fluids. maybe by then i can diagnose my slight knocking sound- but we all know what it is. so maybe i can get that fixed. i also found a small oil leak front/ drivers side. gotta find where it is coming from.
otherwise- the truck is in good shape and should last a long time. just hit 112k!

I have same tires but mine are 37x12.50x17. Very aggressive loud tires.

So far i like the AT3's. 315 70 17 are what 34.5" or so. I can see how the 37's would be louder. I bet they look great though. Mine are just a little louder that the bfg's i had but not by much. So far i have driven oh hot sunny pavement and heavy rain today and they handle and feel great- cant wait to see how they do this winter! (The 55k warranty was the deciding factor over new bfg's). Any pics of your 37's?

They are awesome tires. You won't have complaints about them that's for sure. Here is a pic. I'm going to powdercoat those rims or buy new black ones. I also bought black door handles which will be installed soon.
