There is an O-ring fitting screwed into the inlet and outlet of the cooler at the radiator that the line is slid into with a retaining clip to hold the line in the fitting. The fitting that the line clips into is screwed into the radiator which the fitting is removable (fitting has male threads), you can add a female 3/8" MPT to male hose fitting to attach to the trans cooler line if you leave the trans cooler line fitting on it.

remove the fitting the hard line is attached to from the radiator leaving the line attached to it and put this fitting on the line fitting,
this is the fitting that is screwed into the radiator that the line is attached to;

these are the spec's that ACDelco gives for the OEM fitting; Inlet; 3/8 QUICK CONNECT, 3/8 NPTF
according to the great internet NPT and NPTF threads will work together but are not designed to meet the NPTF standard if combined, shouldn't be an issue for flushing a trans.
as I said in a prior post the only way to know if the 3/8" fitting will work is to pull the cooler line fitting out and try it as I have never done a 2003 H2 to know for sure the fitting will work.

thanks everyone for the help! and for anyome thats doing the job soon, its very simple
all i ended up doing was removing the metal clip from the upper trans cooler line and then took the line out, i had some left over pipe i dont know the size for it, i assume its some fluid one and it fit right into the hole. i didnt need to take off or install a fitting or anything. i just pushed it in and it was snug and then the other end into a bucket. i kept my finger just holding the side that went into the trans cooler just so it wouldnt come loose or something and got a helper to start and stop the truck when i saw bubbles.
super easy!!
thx
