So wondering if all H2's had the additional (auxiliary) transmission cooler? My 03 LE with off road (air) suspension and towing package has the one shown in the GM parts catLog. But I see folks in towing discussions stating one should be added if towing so wondering if they mean adding another one besides the radiator and auxiliary one that is already there? Or perhaps not all H2's came with one originally?

generally its an upgrade to the small factory one and in some cases some people bypass the vehicles radiator cooler line which has on occasions ruptured and flowing radiator fluid to the trans

 

Sam is correct, adding a bigger trans cooler and bypassing the radiator cooler is a good idea, or replacing the radiator is a must if you keep the internal radiator cooler hooked up.
