Default Another Trans cooler Q? with a twist

Yes I know same ? but I cannot find a answer in the search, I have 03 H2 with a factory external trans cooler, thru the rad. of course also, I want to add a second cooler a Hayden, which I already have, bought it for a JK heep, never installed, not enough room without moving the stock cooler over a few inches. and then want to hook them in line, and plug out the Rad. lines. has anyone done this ? and do you think it would be enough cooling with both coolers for hot ca. summers no towing, mainly offroad, Thanks, Cowboy (Chuck)

I wouldn't bother running them inline the stock one is tiny and it will be a cluster F*** having them both there plus the power steering cooler right there, the one you have looks decent size just run it alone and bypass radiator of course, i would think the flow restriction would be less with just one good cooler too

Default cooler question

Thanks YO. I think your idea is a better way to go,I didn't even think about the restriction they both might cause, was just about the cooling, so I will try it with just the Hayden and check the temps often and hope the gauge is accurate !!!

The Tru Cool is about 140.00, but well worth it, keeps the temps in line...

Well you get what you pay for, quality costs more..

Today, i drove a pretty good distance, the outside temp, was 82 degrees, and the trans temp stayed right at the 100 degrees mark, i honestly thought it was broken, so i did a few quick acceleration passes on other cars, then it went a hair about the 100 degree mark, as soon as i resumed normal driving , it went back to the 100 mark...

Before the the Tru-Cool Cooler, i would be at around 130 degrees, with normal driving..

Needless to say, i am sold on this cooler
