Hummer H2For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.
Hey guys, so I don’t know if it’s too tacky for some of you, but I did my absolute best and tore apart a fog light button and circuit board on a 2003 Chevy 2500.
I mounted the cover for the switch on a 90° angle so that the lights point down. Everything is wired into the factory wires and it has the same color and is controlled by the dimmer for my rock lights.
If you look close, it’s not perfect… but good enough for the girls I go out with.
just thought I’d share a small win after all the troubles the forum has helped me out with getting this old girl up and running smoothly
Looks pretty good! The only thing bothering me is the gap between that switch and the rest of the panel. Though I think you could fix it pretty easily if you care enough to.
Black rtv, good idea, the top black part is just the factory sticker, it was a little bent from the junk-yard. Hoping to find a new one next time I go.
Wondering why you didn’t set the rear camera to automatic, or do you like to be able to see through it at other times?
Looks pretty factory-ish. I like it. I have the air suspension so I that's what is in that spot on mine. I like those rock lights too. I ended up putting a switch panel where the onstar was. One controls side-only underglow, one for interior leds, one for a starlight headliner, one for the backup cam, and one for a dash cam. Dash cam will go off with the ignition as well but I like being able to turn it off if need be.
I too have my backup cam on a switch...in addition to automatic when reversing. I like being able to manually turn it on at any time. A couple of years back I was trying to add side cameras and link them to the turn signals (like Honda LaneWatch), but I couldn't ever figure out how to do that. That was way over my head. So a backup camera on a switch is the best I could do.

Seal that switch PANEL to prevent fluid intrusion! Take apart and add some
Like to check on this or towing my other trailer while on the freeway.
