Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

I just don't want to have problems if I was to pull 7 or 8,000 lbs.

at 7k you will be good. At 8k, I would use a load leveling hitch. It’s cheap insurance.

Anyone else noticed that the 2008 H2 horsepower specs quoted here in the link are total BS?

Max horsepower is reached at 5700 RPM. Redline, LOL!
Try running your H2 at that RPM and see what happens……

GM bogus specs.

5700 for the L92 is not hard at all, turn mine 6200 to 6400 pretty regular
there is no redline on the cluster, that's max power rpm
cluster stops a 6000,

The L92 was also used in the 08 Escalade and has the same max power rpm as the 08 hummer but with slightly higher HP.

No Redline available. However, there are updated IPC's available with 7k rpm & 140mph. Yet, still no Redline:

Your right. Tried to have a radiator discussion with the forum, he is right, nobody else can can give opinion or share knowledge. Will not admit he is wrong.

the 08-09 years are rated for 8200 lbs towing capacity which it will happily do all day long with trailer brakes and in tow/haul mode. I’m sure and extra two thousand isn’t going to break anything. I’ve seen some people pull 15k with older models with only a 6700lb towing capacity. This is a 2500 truck after all.
keep an eye on transmission temperatures(found in the cluster display menu), and use a weight distributing hitch.
