Lot's of issues with the circuit board in the wiper motor. Sounds like you are on the right track.

Roesi

If you pull-out either or both the "WS WPR" and "W/S WASH" fuses does the fault go away?

It's possible a faulty Wiper Pulse-Module (P-M) could back-feed the RAP circuit.

Looking inside the P-M it may not see very much as the related relays and diodes are mainly located on the opposite side of the PCB.

However to confirm the problem and with the P-M disconnected, check the continuity between Pin A (Washer Power) and Pin F (Accessory Power) this should be open circuit both on resistance and diode tests in both +Ve and -Ve meter lead directions (see below.

Below is the side you cannot see, the highlighted tracks are the ones of interest :-

Similarly this is the side you can see:-

Water tends to get in on the RHS of this picture, but its hard to see how corrosion can link the 2 circuits link there, it maybe possible.

With a fault of this severity one would expect other issues with the Front Wiper.

Good luck and please keep the forum posted, especially if you resolve the issue.

Oh my gosh, my comment above was an understatement, did you not notice the wipers were dead?

The Pulse-Module is definitely deceased, but the rest of it may be recoverable i.e. it might clean up.

I mention this as complete wiper-motors are getting hard to find and very expensive, so please don't through any old bits away, I'd be interested in them.

I believe the complete Wiper Motor is GM 19150497 and the pulse-module is GM 19120103 these numbers may help you find one.
