Is paint peeling on hoods normal on H2s?
Vehicle was in florida ga down south owner said maybe cause heat started peeling. I’m going to pass on this H2 Found another I like. Ty for responses gentlemen.
Heat doesn't just cause that. That's either a factory defect, or that hoods been poorly painted. Someone didn't prep or used the wrong primer. Id go with someone has painted it considering it looks like it hasn't started peeling until recently. Edit: You can actually see the bondo hack job in the top pic.

My H2 is pealing like that on top in front of the sunroof. also top of one of the doors. the hood is just fading. seems it's time to start looking for a paint job. but i am leaning towards line-x over the roof.
Interesting, look forward to hearing how its fixed
Looks like a low quality repaint. I've seen that over the years, usually 2 or 3 years after a Maaco economy paint job. Pressure washer or drive through car wash usually does this on those cheap paint jobs.
