Hey boys,

In case anyone runs into this code. 99% its a vacuum leak. P0171 is drivers side. I purchased a smoke machine and fluid on amazon for $100. I removed vapor canister purge solenoid. Its the thing above throttle body. Anyway hole is just perfect to insert
smoke. Didnt see it the first or second time. The third time the rear fuel injector had smoke coming out of the base. Unclipped all 4 injector clips. Removed 2 bolts holding down the rail and lifted it up. The O ring must have been missing from factory. Idk. Wasnt there. $10 pack of o rings felpro ES 71190 and H2 running like a champ again.

 

Good Job.. I was thinking of getting one of them there smoke machines. Why don't yo post a link to the one you got. I have bought some crazy stuff that just sitting in my tool cabinet waiting for something to use it on. I bought a Spark plug tester
Pretty cool ..you can watch the plug fire at different gaps. Watch The videos...There is one after the other.

ANCEL S160 Automotive Smoke Machine

90 on prime 150 without prime. Just called smoke fluid. Not a bad idea to do it at nighttime with a bright light. I actually thought I saw smoke better at night under light. Thx 4 links ill check out. The felpro was not as thick as oem. Still worked. No leak at the moment. Funny I rebuilt tranny and fixing this leak. The pedal feeling is brand new now.
