O2 Sensor B1,S1 Code AND Brake Lights Out? Coincidence?
Hummer H2For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.
Open(wire broke) or shorted to ground(chafed insulation). The mechanic only needed a multimeter and eyesight.
How bout this crap....I go back (I've got another car the shop is working on) and he turns around and charged me fifty bucks for fixing it and, clearly confused, tells me, "you messed up a wire when you replaced the sensor". There was a language barrier because he has a heavy Asian accent, so I said, wait, you mean when YOU replaced it...he continues on about how I messed something up when I replaced the sensor..so I said no man, YOU replaced it a few days ago, remember? I never touched the thing because I couldn't even get to it...so he tells me "when the part was put on, a wire wasn't connected properly, so I had to go back and fix it"...so again, I remind him HE installed it, so why the heck am I being shaken down for $50 extra bucks for something HE clearly screwed up with?....in the end he realized he was the one that did the fix, stumbles, and says "well, I mean it's completely fixed now..so $50". (This was in addition to the $50 I paid for it to be replaced, so I'm out $100 total). I've already had a crap day and didn't feel like arguing, so I said screw it and paid 🙄. I'm happy in the end, it's fixed, it's inspected, and driving perfect until the next fiasco. But don't worry, rest assured I'll be right back here to ask you Car Pro's what I've screwed up the next time around lol.
