Hummer H2For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.
I ordered my fittings and hose for the transmission cooler and I think this is going to work out best for me. I will cut the factory line after it comes past the radiator. Future if I want to bypass radiator completely I will just add a -6an coupler and a foot of hose. I will add my list for those that are interested. I will let you know if it works out ok.
Had a conversation with Be Cool radiator just now and I’m not real happy about it. I was told by Be Cool on Friday that I have a 34” core ( so does Escalade and Yukon’s and trucks) and they will have to make a 34” core for it. So price jumps from 750 to 950 + 67 for shipping. I called Griffin this morning Incase I needed a back up plan and they said 34” core is no big deal and we will make it any size you want it. I told Be Cool what I was told by Griffin and I asked him if he could box my radiator up that I spent 97 dollars to ship UPS and ship it to Griffin and they will build it for 750. I really just want my Radiator done and installed, so I thought a minute and realized that tomorrow is a week Be Cool has had my radiator. I asked Fred the be cool rep if he could do it for 850 and then I wouldn’t have to ship it again and start the process over. Fred said that he could do it for 900 and I agreed. If I was starting this radiator quest over I would probably buy the Mishimoto 528$ it’s a 34” core and for an Escalade or up to 05 Hummer H2 and a bunch of trucks next option would be sending it to Griffin for the reasons above and they have a dual core that’s 1.25 and BeCool uses 2 1” cores so the Griffin should have better cooling. Maybe this will help others that are thinking about a replacement. Just curious but does any have a Griffin or Be cool radiator?
Not for the prices they want...... I mean I like quality and all and want it to be cool but there are other choices that are a LOT less expensive. I forget which brand but H2Miami recently replaced his with an aftermarket one and has been very happy with it. Was only a few hundred if I recall.

I looked at many and I loved the pricing but then I read some reviews and 6 months or a year down the road they are having leaks and I’m just trying not to do this ever again especially after having My Evans Coolant in it. It was really hard for me not to take the cheaper way out because they look really good and everyone of them tell you they are the best. Time will tell if I made a good decision or not. I think some issues are because of the install and it’s my understanding that aluminum radiator should be mounted with some flexibility in it.
I’m Still waiting on my radiator and probably going to be delivered around the 20th and my trans cooler hoses and fittings will be here the 13th. I did some cleaning and some touch up paint on the frame. I only got the passenger side done and it turned ok.
Loving your build. Dont see many on here. But they are increasing, which is great. I saw that jeep hiding in the background, a few pics back. Tried to figure out what it was. Im going with YJ? Just because of the way the flare extends into the tub past the fender line. Keep the pics coming!

Thank you! My Jeep is a 1977 cj7 Levi edition with zero rust and 73k original miles.. I have been working on it for awhile and I will finish it once my H2 gets back on the road. I’m getting a new jk frame and stretching my cj 24” behind the door. It has 2005 Escalade engine and transmission. It will be my daily driver. Hope I don’t get in trouble but I want it to look something like this.
Sorry, my bad. I had a 78 Cj7 levis edition 304 Quadratrac and it was mint. Kicked myself as soon as it left my driveway. 15 years later i picked up a basket case 84. Replaced the frame, diffs, axles, suspension, its glass, and the seats were smashed through the floor as well as the body mounts. Built a temp booth in my garage and painted her blitz black. Amc 360. Any ways dont want to hijack your thread. Welcome to Hummers brother, they are also like jeeps. One is never enough and they get in your blood.

really nice! I can’t wait to get mine going. I think from my very short time of being a Hummer owner I have learned that a Hummer is just like a Jeep or Harley, Even when there’s nothing wrong with it you still want to do something to it! I’m like a big kid with my H2 and the other night I was sitting in it (because it doesn’t run) lol. I think it’s the coolest vehicle ever! I want to get everything done and take my Son and Mastiff on a road trip for a week or so. I need to get my gears done and this radiator problem has kept me from doing it. I think I’m going 4.88 like 5.13 but that pinion starts to get pretty small.
