Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

What glue did you use for the plastic v-shape, and how does it come out? My plastic v-shape insert has torn loose at the top and continues to get folded in to the back side of the latch when the carrier latches in.

I used a sharp knife to help peel-off the rubber without cutting it too much. Once the rubber was removed I lightly sanded the contact areas to remove all the old glue.

The adhesive I used was Evo-Stick Multi-Purpose TIMEBOND, but I'm sure any regular impact adhesive for metal to rubber would do (technically with the bracket re-powder-coated its "rubber to plastic")

The key is de-greasing all contact surfaces with IPA (isopropyl alcohol) and avoiding hand contact (wear latex gloves) and also use mini-clamps on every surface whilst it cured (cheap mini-clamps are available at most DIY stores)

The rubber V bonded as good as the original factory finished part.

Nice! Very helpful! Any idea of what an equivalent adhesive is to TIMEBOND that we might also have here in the States?
