There's several postings regarding broken cables or latch assemblies and the headache involved in getting the hood open. There really is not a need for an interior hood release, unless you live in an area or someone is likely to steal your battery. With the Tilt front end, just like the over the road semi trucks, the two rubber latches on the sides are all you need. I simply took the two bolts out that the latch assembly hooks on too on the inside of the hood and left everything in place to avoid the inevitable. Plan on keeping it forever, but if I was ever to sell I can just put the two bolts in that metal loop back in in 30 seconds.

After a quick research it seems the solution is easier. I can buy a cable housing, a cable and endings. The whole solution can be $10. Of course I need to work on it, but not too much.
