One of your seats heating pads has a short in the pad.Sometimes you can mash around on the seat and figure out wich one it is.On the other you can take it in an have the dealer ship reprogram the module,(door buttons)but you probally will have to replace it, and then have the new one reprogramed.

Short in heated seat?
Why would an open circuit in the seat heater cause the light to wink off after 2 seconds, but after you drive a mile or so it will stay on? This does not make sense. Are there any HUMMER MECHANICS out there that can respond to this?

Hello, i'be been a mechanic for 35years I'ved owned a dealer ship for 20yrs. I've had 12 h2s -5 blk-3 red-2wht- 1 yel-1 Orange-MY Dealership deals in performance cars.We are a procharger distibutor, and computor tunner. and we have a in ground dyno jet dyno.Last h2 we tuned made 40 more rwhp.Even install superchargers on h2s. We mainly work and install superchargers and custom tune corvettes. We also sale rims and tires and other perfomance accessories. We have a wrecker service and wrecking yard and window tint shop for 35 years. My point is I mainly sale and work on gm products. There's basically only 3 things that can go wrong ,short in door harness or heating pad or door module.Keep in mind its just a suggestion.Call a dealer and ask them, sometimes repetitious problems they can tell you what it is.
