Or that's a rock auto fiasco with the correct part number from a engine schematic that is dated 1993.... I guess they've used that same sensor for a long time!

I like giving updates when something is resolved because it always helps me when others do it. Just came back to say I did the engine flush, and had the oil sensor replaced, and the dash warning of "Check Oil Level" is gone. The old sensor was covered in a bunch of crud. Thanks everyone!!!

Also, there is a small screen under the oil pressure sending unit that can get plugged up resulting in low oil pressure readings when every thing is just fine.
Uh oh, I guess I'll just pray that that doesn't happen 🙏

Nice work hummer_on_fumes, sounds like you knocked it out of the park!

Doc's engine diagram is the Gen 1 small block, totally different, the LQ4 oil sender in some instances has a small screen under it. My 06 did, I used a small lag bolt to remove it when I replaced the sending unit which was stuck showing 100% oil pressure. Re-assembled put in a new sender and left out the screen.

Worked perfectly.
