hello all new Guy Steve from Alabama.
I've sean on ytube the gear select handle removed an still be able to select gears by pressing down on the vertical piece thats inside the handle.
1st ? the engage button seams to be missing can I stick my finger inside the handle to select gears?
2nd? is there a more durable aftermarket selector available for the H2.

the button is available through ebay as are used handles.

OK I see now that button is a replaceable part of the selector. asking about the finger bc this purchase is site unsean. an would like to drive it home. seller has zero infor.
do you Guys keep spare underneth at trans linkage cable bushing that render the selector unconnected?

remove the handle off by releasing the allen bolts holding it. some have one some have 2 then you can "use a finger"

 

the other day I was cruising around in my highly modded 99 trans am.

the gear selector is held into position w/ a c-clip, my handle is loose the clip probally wiggled loose anyway I lifted the handle up off the vertical stem.

I believe this vertical stem is the same as the H2s.will use the finger for initial drive. will test out the TAs handle later.
