Biggest tire size for stock rim?
Wondering what is the biggest tire size I can fit on the stock 17 inch rims without rubbing or other fitment issues. I need to replace all 4 for this winter, but looking to get a bit bigger tires, currently they are 315 70 r17 bf Goodrich ko
thanks
thanks
35s are stock, some can run 37s without rubbing. Every H2 is different, some can run 37s without issues while others will rub. My stock 35s rubbed on the sway bar. When I beefed up my front suspension I bumped the sway bar over so its no longer an issue.
I think if you go any bigger than, at minimum, you might need to at least get a levelling kit which is the most basic lift that uses re-indexed torsion keys for the front and spacer blocks for the rear. The amount of lift can be from 1 to 3 inches depending on the size of the rear blocks. I'd recommend pretty strong against trying to crank the front torsion keys enough to go 3 inches though as it will ride rough and it puts a lot of strain on the front suspension components like the ball joints etc. Personally I think 2 inches is about the best compromise with a basic levelling kit.
I have a 2 inch leveling on mine and with 37x13.5" tires and I do get a small amount of rubbing when backing up at much of any sort of angle. Nothing detrimental or bad though.

I think the body lifts look terrible due to the gaps seen from the bumpers to the body/trim. I know there was one kit back in the day which included a metal filler strip but that was a looong time ago.You can easily see these gaps in Duramax conversions since body lifts are required to fit the new engine.
thanks for the help guys decided to go with stock size cuz i heard 37's put extra stress on everything on the front end and my rig already has enough worn parts ahah.
decided on wrangler duratracs as i did some research and they seem better or on par with k02's for snow and ice
