You would definitely need a lift, not sure if a key lift would give you enough clearance. You would also need spacers/wheel to push the tires out a bit I believe. Every H2 is different, some run 37's with a few cranks on the torsion bars. Mine on the other hand rubbed on the sway bar with stock 35's until I bought new wheels. You can shove them in there but it will take some work and money.

Agreed..... as well as additional stress on the transmission and even worse fuel economy than we already have. I think the fuel economy is really not an issue though - at least it better not be for any of us.... LOL

When my stock size BFG's wear out I'm going to be looking to go a little bigger too. In the meantime though I'm planning on replacing most of the worn out front suspension components.

agree. 38 would be too much. most likely 37/13.5/17 sounds reasonable

here's my H2 on 38's with 2" body lift and 2" key lift with no rubbing at this point.

to restore power and beef up things to correctly handle the 38's on this ongoing project, i have so far done the following:

- changed to 488 gears
- beefed up the transmission with Alto performance kit and did the oil cooling mod
- changed to Magnaflow long-headers with the full catback exhaust system
- installed the Air Doc intake system
- installed Be Cool dual all aluminum performance radiator
- Diablo engine custom tune
- currently beefing up the steering system with Heavy Duty Rock Ram Steering System from AGR
-installed Cognito Upper Control Arms kit,tie rods kit, Cognito pitman/idler support kit, spohn Adjustable Rear Upper Control Arms, Cognito Extreme Pitman Arm/Idler Arm & Pivot kit.

and the list continues...

moral of the story, if you plan to go this root be prepared to empty your wallet

That looks great. But yeah, particularly for you the shipping costs to buy all of that is also also very expensive too!

That definitely looks good but also keep in mind if you are parking in a garage for total height as well. My tires are slightly larger than BFG's in the same 35" size. With my recent front key lift and rear spacers, I only have about 1/4" before hitting my garage door when pulling in lol.
