Hummer H2For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.
@Hdog
Don't recall you mentioning having just changed the ride-height sensors, that's kind of vital information really.
The sensors form a vital part of level-control feedback loop and needed by the AS-Module to calculate the correct ride-height.
Perhaps your new sensors were incompatible either electronically and/or mechanically, it would be worth cross-checking the P/Nos to prove that point.
Also puzzling, you've never reported an Engine Warning Light or message saying "SERVICE AIR SUSPENSION" the latter is nearly always generated whenever there's a problem with the AS.
FYI, the sensors use low voltage +5V supply from the AS-Module, effectively they're potentiometers with their mid-points set around +2.5V when at the correct height. The module checks this voltage is between 2.06-2.88 volts, if the sensors are sitting near the top-end then no more air can be added as if at maximum height.
You are correct a Tech2 can be used to re-calibrate the ride-height, however you will need the correct sensors otherwise the process will fail.

Sorry OB. Got so frustrated with everything but I didn't mean to leave out that bit of vital info . The service light is on and I did change the sensors. I will do my best to be more thorough in my future post. I appreciate you being so up front about my earlier post.
Thanks

@Hdog
not a problem, the goal is always to help, sometimes its like a game of Cluedo, what often seems an insignificant question can be pivotal.
The AS-ECU is a very sophisticated module which I know well, I've even managed to unseal a module and repair it for use a working reference model - sad I know.
Only the software side I'm missing, just haven't had the time...one day!
Yep..that's what they did at the dealer when I had my2 sitting lop sided. Turns out one was set higher then the other. He hooked his Tech II up and connected to the GM site and got the correct info and reprogramed the system. Lots-a stuff going on with that design the 09.
Got a Launch Elite bilateral scanner. Says it is supposed to be able to reset my height sensors. But I haven't guite figured out how to do that. When I try to do what it says nothing happens. Only thing I did get to work was that I got the compressor to stop running when the doors are closed.Does anyone know anything about these scanners. Thanks and God Bless
@Hdog
Reading back, these are the points that come to light in order of importance:-
You say you have an Engine Warning light but didn't say what the fault code is, if your "Launch Elite bilateral scanner" cannot provide it get a Tech2 to read it, otherwise you're shooting in the dark. For example "C0563" is EEPROM checksum error and only a Tech2 will correct it, altogether there are 14 Air Suspension related DTC's you really need to know which one it is.
You didn't say if whether or not you get the message "SERVICE AIR SUSPENSION" so I'm assuming not which would be strange.
A Tech2 will also provide the Left & Right ride height sensor voltage values which will confirm if they are behaving correctly i.e. whether the new or old sensors are operating OK.
You didn't mention if you checked the exhaust-valve pipe is blocked or if the valve is working, again a Tech2 should be able to lower the suspension, if this fails it suggests there is a problem with the exhaust valve, DTC0660 for example.

BTW where are you located?
Thanks For Posting.. I have a GM tech 2 . Was just wondering where or what is that under when you scroll thru the menu? I know once I looked for Unlock radio and it isn't in there. Also, I think I need to be on line with the Tech 2 Computer and have a $$$ Subscription. Mine goes back to 2009 . I have all the adapters and the PDF Manual. I'll have to get into it some more. But would like to know where the air ride comes up in the menu?
Thanks OB.
Answer is slightly complicated as the menu structure is different according to the model year (or so it seems) I can only speak for 2005 and possibly upwards.
Power on Tech2 to give the intro splash screen
Then Enter for Main Menu
The F0 to select Diagnostics, then select Model Year (in my case 2005)
Set Vehicle Type to LD Trk etc.
The Vehicle ID (Hummer)
Then choose F2: Chassis
You will then get a *Caution* Screen - hit continue
Press F1 for Air Suspension
The Radio functions I believe are under F1 "Body" but I don't recall there being an "unlock function" per say but rather programming in the VIN to the radio, I have done it for a H3 but it was a while ago, just remember it was fairly easy to do.
