Hummer H2For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.
My 03 H2 is stuck in the max height on the rear. I've tried pushing the height button but nothing happens it only blinks but won't lower the Hummer back to regular ride height. Any idea what I can do or check to correct this issue? Thanks!!
If air cannot be purged or vented the bags will stay inflated, so sounds like the exhaust is blocked or the valve not operating either mechanically, electrically or electronically.
This is what I think an 03 single compressor system might look like:-

I haven't had a chance to look at it yet. Hoping to get to it next weekend if not working. But I will definitely let you know what happens and how I make out with it. But if this doesn't work I am probably going to convert to coil springs. Thanks for your help OB!
Hdog, I didn't see you specifically mention it, but have you driven the Hummer? The suspension drops back down to normal height at 25 or 30 mph. Maybe it will correct itself.

Didn't know that???? Cool.
I usually work the bags full up and down at least a few times a year. Rarely will the Air Compressors come on during normal driving. Also shift the transfer case Hi to Low and Lock and unlock the rear diff as well as Go to manual and work the shift paddles. Some times in the touchless car wash which has a chassis spray, I go in with the bags full up to wash them down as gritty dirt gets on them and when they settle down it can rub a hole in the bag.

Tried that with no success. But is the compressor supposed to run with the doors closed even though I didn't activate the height adjuster?
if it has an air leak it will activate with the doors closed to maintain ride height. eventually it will damage the compressor.
I had a Lop sided h2. One side lower then the other. Took it to the dealer. They Programed something in the system and replaced a right height sensor on the trailing arm. But they did use some sort of a reprograming.
Check the service manual and see if it calls for ride height setting by Programing something.

Before I went through the trouble of dismantling the air compressor on the back I decided to check the ride height sensor. The new ones I had put in for some reason kept the air compressor running especially when the doors were closed so that was my biggest issue because it keeps the truck lifted. So today I disconnected the new ride height sensors and reconnected the old ones just to see what would happen . It appears the new ride height sensors is telling the computer to keep the car lifted and keeping the compressor engaged because when I reconnected the old sensors with the doors closed the compressor is no longer continuously running. Though it did not raise or lower the vehicle any but I think I'm moving in the right direction. So I think my main issue is that I need to have the ride height sensors calibrated. So I'm going to purchase a tech2 scan tool that I keep hearing about and see how that goes. Any recommendations on what brand I should get at a decent price? When I get it and try out the theory I will repost again. Thinking all you guys again for all your help and suggestions!!!
