3rd Row Single seat stuck locked #2 in 2003 H2 Can anyone show me how manually releas
I cant get the seat to release from position 2. It is a single 3rd row seat on a 2003 H2. I have watched many videos on Tahoes and Suburbans but is hasnt helped. I can't find or see where the cables go to. I 100% have it down for position one. I have spend a few days soaking it with WD40 because it hasnt been removed in years. When I lift #2 is barely moves just the one side. The other side doesn't move at all. I have tried having someone sit on it while pulling the lever, manually putting screw drivers in there trying to free it. I am guess when you pull the #2 level it operates a cables that releases the other side like what I have seen on Tahoes but the release isn't the same. I watched the videos on how to manually release it and I can even see the other level. Does anyone have a picture of where you can put the screw driver to release it manually? Would someone be willing to lift up there seat and take a picture for me. It doesnt look like any of the seat fabric or leather comes off at all when the seat is in the down position. I would guess the cable is broken or the end piece of plastic is broken but I need to manually release it on each side. Thank you.

I sold my 3rd row seat, but remember that it was near impossible to put on or take off. And it was in new condition.
I remember there is some sort of trick where the seat back has to be in a certain position, or the seat can not be disengaged from the floor holds.
Read the manual carefully. I think I remember the seat back has to be fully reclined forward, for the grabbers to disengage. Or something like that.
Then jerked by the seat handle. Anyway, stupid design.
Could that be the problem?
I do not recall any way to "manually" release it. At least not published. Hope someone else may chime in with an intelligent reply.

as for the #2 lever, make sure the front of the seat is securely locked in the mounts. It likely would prevent you from moving the lever if it is not securely locked down.
