I have a 04 factory 3rd row seat. Its currently out of the truck and I can't seem to get it to open up, is there something I need to do to get it to open???

 

I believe that the seat needs to be snapped into position first....you could also manually press into the retaining claws with a srewdriver and seat the mechanism...I think this will open the seat up.

 

I've been trying to picture how it'd work. Ill try the screwdriver tomorro

 

I actually tried that too, it was in my garage so I figured I'd sit on it like I do my minivan seat. The h2 seat needs to be latched in, you're right on the screwdriver thing, just push the clasp down so it thinks it's locked in.

 

Maybe you can only open it up when it is ankered in the car?
Mine pops in and out easily but I guess I have not tried it as a lawn chair yet
