Default 05 Transmission Filter - New one doesn't fit

Hi guys,

Stuck here, doing a transmission fluid+filter change, all went OK but with the new ACD TF337 filter I can't get the pan on

The old and new look similar, but the ACD part definitely sit too proud.

Can any suggest a filter & gasket that will fit (pan depth at deepest point is approx 3")

Any help much appreciated....

TF337 is for the shallow pan. Did you make sure to remove the old sleeve?

TBH I couldn't get the old sleeve out, so maybe that's the issue?

Q. How do you get the sleeve out?

Show it who the boss is! Btw, did you check filter depth, because your pan depth is off? Shallow is 2-1/4" and Deep is 2-7/8" depth. Check this video for sleeve seal removal and installation:

I should have watched the whole vid before sharing? Make sure to avoid the claw hammer.

On a side note, always check the pan before ordering a filter!

Thanks Hummerz, much appreciated.
I'll watch and check tomorrow, rain permitting.

I thought I'd selected the right depth.

So where is the depth measured, IE which end?

If the ACD part is for a shallow pan and my pan won't fit flush does that make my pan deep or shallow? ( Got nothing to compare it too)
