2006 Hummer H2 with New Gm Engine, transmission! Wondering value. !
Hi Guys, I have a yellow Hummer H2 that I am not really using anymore. 180,000 miles. At 177,00 miles I had gm put a new engine, transmission, fuel pump, radiator, all belts and hoses and much more. Probably wasn't the best idea at the time but I wasn't planning on selling it. it still has over a year of the Gm warranty on it. Anyone have an idea on value? I spent 21,800 for that and I do have receipts. I bought the hummer in 2007. I am the second owner. I have kept it inside since I have owned it.

Body gets removed for new engine and transmission.
I have a 2007 200k miles original engine (they were built to get 300,000 mi on those engines) new transmission, new brake lines, new brakes , etc Geico adjuster told me its value is around $35,000. I would think yours is around that maybe a little more. I bought mine in 2010 at 30,000 miles .
The car is going to be worth more to a Hummer enthusiast to someone who has had one for more than 10 or 15 years knows what all the problems are knows what to expect and can appreciate what you've replaced on it.
You should keep it , it pisses off liberals too lol
That is a lot of money that you spent on it, looks to be in nice shape. It's going to be hard to recoup that much. I would say the truck is worth $20k ?? Have you tried to sell it?
I think that to a knowledgeable buyer who knows what they are looking for it is $25k-$30k, assuming the interior and everything else is good. But to the average buyer they will look at the mileage and lower the price.
Unfortunately the H2 prices have been declining since they peaked in Covid... I think it gets $25k to someone who knows what to look for.
Where you sell it also matters - I think Bring-A-Trailer or eBay Motors will get you eyeballs for used H2s. If you list on Craigslist or Facebook you will get low-ballers.
Check Bring-A-Trailer and see if there is a recent auction for a vehicle like yours. Their site is the go-to in my book for real H2 prices. Filter for your model year and see if there is a comparable.
Here are the current price trends from CarGurus, which says the average 2006 has sold for $17k... they average probably has 100k - 150k miles on it with no engine or transmission rebuild.

Prob end up taking a hit. I would say prob 15-20K. I like to think market is prob pretty small for someone looking for 20+ year old vehicle. The mileage will scare most people away even though it’s prob close to brand new condition. May likely find the right buyer but will take some extra time.GL with the sale
