Can someone tell me if the wiring for the license plate in/on the spare tire cover is tucked away in the headliner/tailgate? I’m needing to install a backup camera and do not think the current location utilizing the license plate holder at the lower left side is a good location. Is there anyone with a license plate holder in the spare tire cover that can tell me about the wiring set up.

 

Once you remove the rear hatch interior cover everything is right there. The wiring enters the rear hatch via a rubber boot in the center.
I pulled my power from the back up light, its not real pretty but it worked.
