Default back up camera options?

We need a back up camera on our H3 desperately.

We think we are going with the Alpine ILX-w650 head unit and the Alpine hd camera looks really nice.

Where are y'all mounting your cameras?

I got a license plate holder camera. I don't like it because of how far off center it is. There were a couple other people here who had come up with mounting ideas in the spare tire which looked really good.

Get an extra Wheel Center Cap for the spare, drill a hole in that and mount the camera.... like Broken Halo did.

My camera came with a mounting bracket and I mounted it above the license plate, which has mostly worked well except for a bit of the top of the image being clipped by the plastic bumper trim cap.

I like the spare tire mount but $20 shipping seems outrageous. It ended up being $52 for a piece of steel with a few holes and a bend.

Someone had one hidden in the bumper but did not have pics of how it was mounted in there.

I put this inexpensive stereo in my H3=
The back-up camera works great and the stereo sounds better than the factory stereo, comes with blue tooth also

(2) cameras that I can toggle back and forth between. One in the hitch facing rearward and one in the hubcap facing downward for when getting close to objects. They both have electrical quick disconnects when needed.

We ended up buying a hitch filler to put it there. I doubt we'll ever use this hitch but if we do it unplugs easily enough
