Hi everyone. Just recently purchased a 07 H3. Love it. Have the fact nav. Would like to add a backup camera----have searched the forums here....but have an important question. Is it better to just purchase a new in dash nav system with camera or to have a camera added to the fact nav? i was quoted around $1000 for just backup camera. Please help a newbie!

1G for a backup camera is a rip-off. go with an aftermarket backup camera. I bought a good quality Boyo backup camera for $130 and have it installed on my 07 H3X. Installation is $100. Im very impressed with the image quality and the wide angle lens of this camera. I have it interfaced on my Kenwood DNX-8120.

 

weems, there is no way to add a back up camera to the factory nav. i have heard there is a pac module/harness that is being worked on but no date on when it will be avalible and heard it will be arround $200 . u can buy a nice after market unit like the populat pioneer avic line and they range in price. or there other good brands and are easy to add a camera to and plus u get alot more cool stuff like ipod hook up and blue tooth so go to www.cruthfield.com and search there that schould help u alot of useful information. i just picked up a pioneer avic-f500bt brand new dor only $187 shiped. i had a garmin nuvi 5000 gps and had a backup camera hooked to that but the unit got stolen. good luk
