Both the driver or passenger heated seat buttons (in all configurations) turn off after about 4-5 seconds. I noticed there is about 3 clicks coming from under the seat. Is this the dreaded broken wire under the seat that needs re-soldering? Or is it something else?

most likely what oceanbrave suggests. if the module does not get what it wants to see from any of the 4 heaters or thermal sensors it refuses to work.
