Hi! I have a 2000 Hummer H1 6.5 TD, with 19,000 miles on the clock. I have had it since 2005, and I dont use it very often. 2 months ago I used it, and when I was driving it suddenly shut off. It would start again, and then it shut off while driving 3 more times.
At first I thought it may be dirty diesel, because of the fact that I dont use it very often, so I went to a repair shop, they dumped all the diesel in the main and auxiliary tanks, cleaned completely both tanks, and fixed the fuel trap box, because it was completely loose.
I used it everyday for about one week, and today it did the exact same thing.
Does anybody know what can I do?

Sounds like a PMD starting to go bad.

 

I also think your PMD is malfunctioning. Buy yourself a new PMD with a new resistor and relocation kit to get it away from the engine's heat

 

Can you guys recommend me a site where I can buy the black PMD, with the relocation kit, a resistor #6?
Also, is there a way where instead of using the PMD, I can connect a computer to the plug, and simulate it as a PMD?

It looks like it should. Why not buy the resistor, together with the PMD?
