So they could have renewed my On-Star too... Damn it I am a push over....
This is one thing I discussed with GM just last week which really TICKS ME OFF! I am happy for those who are being taken care of and getting the nice added perks, BUT GM/Hummer's lack of consistancy ratherIRKS me! It just is not fair and I relayed this in my conversation. I informed the representative that I was speaking with that I was aware that some are getting full bumper to bumper extended warranties, and others just the powertrain extension. Some are getting 75K mile extensions and some are getting 100K mileextensions. As well as some have gotten a year of maintainance free and now OnStar extended for a year. I also relayed that we "are a cult of sorts and a tightknit group" who "talk" so to speak. Don't get me wrong, again, I am thrilled for those who are being taken care of BUT, I feel GM should have a consistant policy which takes care of usALL in the SAME GOOD CONSISTANTmanner! If you are one of those who got added perks, I am sure you are thrilled as well, but think of those who did not come close to getting taken care of in the same manner...I am sure you folks are just a little less thrilled!?

I also said that I was TICKED because we all took a chance on the brand new model H3 helping make it such a success andthen forGM to take the next 07 model year and double the warranty was just a little bit unfair to us - particularly when it has far less (and perhaps NO)chance of head/valve issues with the manufacture of the newimproved parts.

You are absolutely right, you fine hunk a woman...This cat and mouse BS is crazy, with these warranty extentions...

GM..Let's get up front across the board on this..Don't you want repeat buyers?

Hi everyone! I am new to this so I'm sorry if I ask something that has already been asked in a previous post. I have had my truck for almost 2 years and have almost 40,000 miles on it. I took my truck in last week for the check engine light. They said it was becuse there is a misfire in cyl # 3. I have to take it in this week for them to fix it. I never thought about an extended warranty should I ask my service guy about it or should I call the number that LawWyfe posted? Thank you for your help!

sjr, YOU have to be your own advocate on this, because no one else will be (your dealer, etc)! Call the number that I have posted and insist on a good extended warranty. It may take you numerous phonecalls and a long of period of time to get it accomplished, as it did for me -BUT persevere until you have it andin writing! GM/Hummer has taken care of me well, butat my insistance. Thank goodness this happened to you BEFORE your warranty ended since you are at such high mileage already.Good luck!

Good luck. I chose to throw in another year of OnStar because it makes me feel more safe and secure when I am traveling by myself long distances which I tend to do several times a year. It also emails me a report (I have always gotten mine monthly like clockwork) and this was my 1st tipoff that I had head problems. Besides GM owns OnStar..why not ask for it?

I just had my head replaced on my 2006 H3. It has 9,125 miles. The only reason my H3 has that many miles is because of a long road trip I just went on. Close to 7,500 of highway miles. I havnt evengone over 80mph. I happened to talk to another H3 owner while at the dealer with same head problem. He told me to call GM and have my warranty extended. He said call as soon as possible because GM is going to stop offering the extended warranty very soon. That GM is losing lots of money on this.I know nothing about cars soI figured I would do some research on this before I call. This is when I came accross this forum. I have been reading these posts for 2 days now lol. I called the number Lawwyfe left instead of the one I got from a google search. I was given a case # and told they would call me back. They said there is no known Head issues with the H3. The dealer told me they have been doing lots of them and it is no big deal. That there was a problem in the machining of the head or something. A $40,000.00 car and already engine work. I dont know how major having a head replaced is but it scares me. They should do a little somehting for me no? I figured I would register and tell little bit about my story. Im not to good at explaining things lol sorry for long post.

H3Head, you arent related to FordEscort or Fordtruck are you? You all seem to have the same writing style. LOL
I find it hard to believe thatthey told you that thereare no known head issues with the H3 and IF they didthen they lied to you! Also there would not be 1100 of these parts on backorder if there was "no known head issue!" If you indeed do have this problem then yes, call every and any number you find whether it is underour info posts or you Googled it and complain and refer to your case #and insist that they make it right for you - UNTIL they make it right for you. Good luck
