NEW EXTENDED WARRANTY CONTACT INFO

If this is not resolved, you can better believe I, nor my family will ever purchase another GM product again! We are a close knit family and we all purchase 2 new vehicles per family (that is 3 families)every few years...and mostly GM products! (Yes, we throw a jeep or something else into the mix on occasion - but we mostly own GM products.) At the moment we have a chevy corvette and a Hummer, the parents purchase new high $ caddies ($50K-$60K range) every 3-4 years before warranty is out - You tell me, would this not be a loss to GM to lose our business?

Well Denny, while I was never a fan of them previously, I have a couple friends who have the FORD Expedition several years now - they love them, have never had any major problems with them, and I know they will pull the heck out of boat because they both do it all the time! True dat aint no Hummer...but sometimes I wonder if "coolness" vs reliability (and added power)is worth it? As for the caddies...may be Lexus time...

If you haven't done it you should call Hummer Customer assistance ( 1-866-HUMMER6) and request the 100K warrenty on the engine. Sewie advised me to do and it was easy to do, two phone calls in two days and as advertised the extended warrenty paperwork came within a few weeks.
The customer service person bragged on and on about how GM was going to stand beside me and help me out. I did request the warrenty be extended to the entire powertrain but they were not willing to go that far.
This is the first American made new car I have owned since 1981 and am dissapointed with the problems. Lets face it, building cylinder heads is not exactly a new thing for GM.
I had a phone survey from GM a few weeks ago and I LET THEM HAVE IT about the cylinder head problems. I was told the comments went directly to GM. Maybe it will do some good.

Just call them up and tell them you are aware of the engine problems and that they have given others the extended warrenty and you want them to stand beside you all the way and give you the extended warretnty too like they have done so many others. After all you don't want to be on your own when the check engine light comes on at 50,100 miles.
We are at exactly 4 months now since head replacement and going toe to toe with GM/Hummer. Received a call today from the rep (she left me a message) NO news yet, NO answers yet, "she was just touching base with me and she would touch base with me again at the end of the week."
Instead of how many people does it take to screw in a lightbulb?...It should be:
How many GM representatives does it take to screw up an extended warranty?

Weekly update of the continuing 4 month saga with GM/Hummer and the extended warranty. Got a call today from a "substitute" rep ("mine was out sick"). She was abrasive (WRONG thing to do with ME -an already angry woman), interrupted me, talked over me, covered the phone so she could not hear me talking (yes we all know what that sounds like as we all have done it), so we had words and she said "GM is not interested in dealing with and offering you anything until you return that original letter period!" So, my reply was "and I am no longer interested in dealing with 4 months worth of weekly phone calls to tell me nothing has been resolved, NOR am I interested in returning my original letter without something satisfactory in my hand to replace it AND that I will now be taking this matter up with my attorney!"
So some of you say, so why not return the darn letter already! (Because GM has lied to me 3 times now both telephonically ANDin writing with promises of what they are offering me, so I am going to give up the only ace card that I have? I think not!)
Interestingly enough, I received a PM here last evening from another member who claims she made the call and GM sent her her extended warranty letter already (all within 1 month!) SO my question is - WHY can't they take care of me properly and satisfactorily??!! BTW, I have been nice and diplomatic with them all alonguntil today! And one last thing - since I made mention of my attorney 2 phone calls ago...now every time they call they inform me that my call is being taped which they never did before LOL.
