Eh just some (_Y_)hole playing around
Man, am I slow sometimes. I spent 5 minute trying to figure out a 3 letter word with a "Y" in the middle that would make that sentence work. Then I got it. D'oh.

Good luck! Thus far, all I have gotten from GM in 4 months worth of numerous phonecalls back and forth is a bunch of lies, broken promises, an extendedwarranty letter that I am told has been canceled and a demand that I send them back my original letter (which was not what I had been promised verbally.) I will NOT be sending them back my original letter and am now considering proceeding to "plan B!"

Lil HB perhaps I should have stated what "plan B" was LOL. I am tired "taking it to them!" I can't even begin to count the calls I have made to them AND the calls they have made to me! Plan B - I plan on taking this matter up with my attorney now because you don't make promises of taking care of the customer (AND put it in writing)and then say "oh sorry, we aren't going to take care of you now because GM recently changed the parameters in which they are dealing with this issue now."

I had guessed that is what you meant. I also was referring to being "reminded" in the more formal sense, ie, stop the lip service, and talk to my lawyer!

I agree, it is one thing for an inexperienced employee to mistakenly give out info, but once they have made a committment to you, and stated it in writing, they must honor it!

I would like an extended warranty myself. What I have to say might be useless. These are just some of the things I ask myself.
1. Why do I feel I deserve an extended warranty?
2. Has anyone actually got an extended warranty from GM?
3. Where did the idea of getting extended warranty start?
4. Will it cost more money to get help from an attorney than the price of whatthe warranty costs? I think $1,400
5. Is it illegal for GM to give extended warranty to only a few people then change the parameters for the rest of us?

Some other thoughts I have. I'm having a hard time arguing with friends as of why I feel I should get an extended warranty.
1. GM paid for and fixed the head. Problem solved.
2. Did GM put out H3s knowing they had defective heads and sold them anyway?
3. Is this part of buying a car? Things break, they fix. Why do I think I should get more than what I had to begin with?

Im just kind of dumb when it comes to this kind of stuff. People change my opinion on it every other day. One person sticks up for GM the other says take them to the cleaners. Now I'm just confused about the whole thing. If GM fully stands behind the vehicle they should honor an extended warranty in my opinion. For selling a car they knew was "defective"? - Did they know at the time? thanx yall
H3
Im just lost

Jeep,IMO - the jury is still out on you! Perhaps you are still in the "honeymoon stage" just as I was when it happened to me...Here are some things you should tell/ask yourself with regard to this issue! We are not just trying to get something for nothing!

1. GM produced massquantities of this vehicle with defective parts (and are still selling the older models withsaid problem before fixing)

2. GM replaced many of these partsearly onwith the SAME defective parts (I believe mine was one of those).

3.Some folkshave had the issue - NOT ONCE...BUT TWICE now (perhaps because they had same defective replacement parts?)

4. GM is very aware of this problem now - yet has done NOTHING about a recall - and I believe hopes that many will have said issue arise after they are out of warranty and GM will not have to deal with it at that point. (Oh, sorry bout your luck!)

5. MANY folks with this issue have had or are having to wait as long as a month OR 2 because the parts are on backorder! (I'd say that is NOT ACCEPTABLE when they have dished out $30K - $40K for a brand NEW vehicle.

[b][font=verdana][size=2]6. IF you went back to the beginning and read ALL the threads/posts on this issue, you would have seen that YES, som
