That pic is from the front and hideous. I will not go redneck on my rig, I gave that up in the '70's, no drilling through panels to install lighting, I only used oem holes, and I will never mount a spare on the rear door, same for the H2. I'm saving a lot driving my H3, cost for repairs have been -0- for the last 4yrs, although I have incurred maintenance costs. I just took a pic, close to dark, my phone wont do justice compared to reality in person(bright as f'k,+signal to those tailgaiting). Comparison with the spare, or NOT!:

I have 2 of those eagle eye type lights (1 on each side) facing out on the rear lovwer fender caps. They are wired to my reverse lights and throw out a great side light for backing up.

Then stop checking out my rear end. Btw, other than rear seat removal, spare tire/mount removal, rear wiper removal, and an addition of 6 lights on the cargo door, plus an extra GM badge, H3 badge, and GMC hitch cover, window deflectors, everything else is still the same when it left the factory.

Thanks, never thought about it,(until today when Doc posted) and found a way to replace those plugs. Waiting on more parts.
On a side note, I do not cut any harness wiring, carefully strip 1-2" insulation off the wire, spread apart the wire strands in half, insert 1-2" bare wire from the light, twist around, solder, liquid tape, then electrical tape, and tape the harness like it was never disturbed.

Removed plug and installed 1-1/2" round 5led light. Also replaced 18SMD reverse light bulb with an 8w 3157 33SMD bulb.

How bright are those 1.5" 5 LED lights? I am leaning on adding those for some back up light boost on my Alpha, looks to be a simple easy solution with no holes to drill.

The sun is directly overhead. I cutout a box and took a pic, other than that I will have to wait until the sun goes away.
