Default Giving some attention to the rear

Many years ago I removed the spare tire, and installed painted bolts with sealer to cover the holes. I noticed the bolts were rusting, and the seal around the cab vent was cracked beyond repair. I pulled the vent and the seal crumbled, cleaned it, and reinstalled with silicone clear caulk. Today I installed
Nylon 6/6 Pan Head Machine Screw, Black, #4 Phillips Drive, M10-1.5 Thread Size, 19 mm Length Nylon 6/6 Pan Head Machine Screw, Black, #4 Phillips Drive, M10-1.5 Thread Size, 19 mm Length
I got way to many, yet they were cheap, and I installed with silicone clear caulk. I also removed the wiper motor and washer, and installed a 1-1/4" round stainless steel panel cover, and a black body plug(from my tool chest full of hardware) sealed with silicone. More parts on the way(led lights), to change the wiper motor/washer holes, and eliminate the cab vent, plus another hitch cover, that needs replaced again.

Sorry....just not feeling it. In MY opinion, (and I know everyone has one), a spare hanging on the rear is part of a Hummer's character just like the hood vent.

I've never had a need for the spare! My oem spare tire and rim is still planted in the back yard. I do construction/remodel/renovating and use my rear door a lot and carry loads of material on top. Easy open/open close on the cargo door, and easy to tie down a load of material stepping on rear bumper, with the tire out of the way. Same with the rear wiper, I've probably used that a handful of times, yet I've replaced the wiper blade many times, since the rubber deteriorates and hangs down. I have great rear view now! My tires on the ground are just over 5yrs old, yet still have 14/32nds of tread remaining inside/center/outside on all 4, and I will replace them at the 6yr mark, maybe sooner if a tpms decides to finally fail?

Decided to give some attention to my front trim panels. Pulled them, washed with dish soap, a few minutes with a heat gun until they turned all black, then a coat of turtle wax trim restorer while still warm. Approx 10minutes total time involved for each piece.

Yes, they look much better in black. I pulled the louvers off the cab vent and installed an 18led taillight. Waiting on more parts.

could cut yourself some aluminum diamond plate to cover and fill the recessed area around the new light could cover all the holes.
