Read If Your H3 Radiator Has Cracked or Leaked
The 06 B2B warranty was shorter than later years. I believe they were 4yr/48k mi and then 4yr/60k miles. The month of your vehicles original sale will start the clock on the warranty. An 07 model year would already be out of the factory warranty unless it were sold before October 2008.
Every year it seems that "just one more model year" was affected by this and the later year model owners stay in denial until it happens. I saved my original radiator with the though of some day having it repaired with aluminum tanks that won't crack. Just waiting on the aftermarket radiator to start a crack on it as well before I get it done.

Do not take no for an answer. The warantee is thrown out the window in this situation because of it being a design flaw. This problem will happen to every H3 with that original radiator and frame design, whether it is at 30,000 miles or 130,000 miles.
Let them know that you are very well aware that this is a design flaw, and that GM is well aware of it also because they redesigned the radiator to accomodate for the clearance that it needs to stay clear of the frame so it doesn't hit against it. Tell them you are well aware of many others with the same exact problem and GM has paid for them.
If you would like I will post my case number as soon as they ok mine which should be tomorrow. I think everyone on here that has had the problem and GM has paid for it should post their case number also. When I told them I was going to give other case numbers that had the same problem they told me that this is a case by case basis and those cases have nothing to do with mine. I fought that and said it absolutely has everything to do with mine because it is the same exact problem in all of those H3's. They did back down on that one.
They will try anything to get out of paying, but stick to your guns and don't take anything less than them paying the entire bill. With other people they have offered to pay 10% or 20%, and they may end up doing that with me tomorrow, but I am sticking to my guns and will not accept anything less than full payment. They are calling me back tomorrow between 3 and 5 p.m. again so I hopefully will have this resolved by tomorrow. If they say no, then I am telling them that I am joining the class action lawsuit that is being brought about by other H3 owners. In court GM would lose in a heartbeat because it is a design flaw issue. And by redisigning the radiator they have admitted fault. Cut and dry case.

Mine went out at 76k miles. Talked to GM, ended up cursing out the person I spoke to and using my extended warranty plan to cover it. Same exact problem everyone here is talking about.
Just got back from my Hummer dealership to have a mirror replaced. While I was there I was talking to the mechanic about the radiator tanks cracking, and he said they have never had an '08 or newer H3 in for cracked tanks, and that the part number for them was different than the '06 & '07's. He also told me the price of 3's has been going up, and Alpha's are almost impossible to find.

Finally got the call from GM. They were supposed to call me last Tuesday. The lady said that unfortunately they cannot pay for the radiator at this time after much research and investigation. She also said that our mileage was too high. I explained to her again that I am aware of the issue, the redesigned radiator which admits fault and many others that GM has paid for and that I will be filing a lawsuit if it is not paid for. The dealership told me when I had it in that the mileage did not matter since this is a design flaw. How many of you that have had this done have mileage that was past the warrantee? I am not stopping here.

Well Heather (first Heather I talked to was rude asked for her Boss- think it was the same Lady just calling me back a week later) with GM finally called me back. She is saying because my month side of the warranty is out of date GM will NOT be paying to fix this issue. But if they find out that they have an issue I can submit my bill and get my $100 deductible back for what I had to pay for my extended warranty. This is total BS. And while I had the truck in the dealership broke my glove box handle now I'm being told that I have to replace the whole box??? and I might have to pay for that because they are denying that they broke it. I'm still not done fighting with them-going to go up the ladder on these issues.
WTF-The service guy at the stealership named Jed ( its a big Caddy dealer here in Cincinnati) - told me if I knew there was an issue I shouldn't have bought the H3. Oh the stealership that I had to take(per GM when I called to try and get it covered under warranty) to is owned by the same auto group that I bought the H3 from. Wonder how their going to like my letter about that??
