There is not an adapter for the XM antenna. I tried splicing the wire and using the XM antenna, and it did not work. I had to install the Sirius antenna.

I saw one too. Somebody had made one, and maybe was selling it. I should have said, "the SIRGM1 kit does not come with an antenna adapter..."

never mind I just found it , best way to access is to remove your radio , and look in the dash behind your glove box ,you will see the harness plug (has the yellow lock on it , very easy install once I found the plug

Guy's I was also able to use the stock antenna wire. Just unplug it from the xm box ,remove the square plastic cover (pull small lock out of side ) a dab of clear silicone and snap it on . works great ,

I just bought an H3 and I heard there is some chip you can have installed to convert your XM to Sirius has anyone heard of this?? I dont feel like having my radio ripped out to get a Sirius aftermarket radio. This chip would be ideal
HummerMike ordered his from Crutchfield, and it came with the wiring harness needed to convert XM to Sirius. It works perfectly. Everything is accessible using the factory GM radio. I was even impressed.

How is the reception on the Sirius conversion? I live in L.A. and had a Sirius installed in my Toyota Camry. The reception was pretty good but would go out when I'd go under an overpass or bridge or sometimes through hilly areas with lots of trees. I now have a Hummer H3 with the XM installed with the monsoon system and this thing never looses signal. I can even go into tunnels and I still get reception. I'm afraid if I switch I'll go back to the bad reception.

Well, we had it parked in his garage while we were working on mounting the receiver behind the dash, and it was getting reception almost the entire time, so I'm assuming that is pretty darn good, considering the antenna was this little quarter-size sqaure stuck to the roof.

I was just wondering if using the XM antenna makes for better reception aound L.A. than that little crappy antenna I got with my Sirius radio?
