Has anyone installed xenon bulbs in their H3? I'm considering doing this and wanted some opinions on which bulbs to use

what people recommend for bulb mfg. Bulb size is in the manual but there are tons of different bulb mfg's out there - all of which profess to give you the best output and most like xenon look

 

True xenon lamps require a ballast unit and completely different lamp unit. Technically, they're supposed to be self-leveling to be legal too. Be sure of what you're getting. A lot of crap bulbs sold as xenon are just "xenon blue" halogen bulbs from China that won't last very long and only blind other drivers. Be aware that they really can be obnoxious in a rearview mirror. I'd stick to the major bulb makers like Sylvania (Osram) or PIAA.

 

I've used the cheap ones you see on ebay before and never had a problem, they do only last a year or less but are cheap enough to replace.
