Is anyone else having issues with passenger side wiper. Twice in past four years it has stopped working. Problem was a seperated joint in the wiper transmission in the bars that go over to passenger side (luckily the wiper motor is on driver side). I took the dash apart to look at it the first time and I could even pop the jount back together but it would just pop back off again when I ran wipers for any length of time. Twice the local GM dealer replaced the whole wiper transmission (GM Part# 10389559 ).

The GM dealer told me that it probably got stressed by ice buildup. But not sure if this is cause because first time it went was middle of summer with just rain.

its not ez to clean out that cute little pocket the wipers are in,BUT its impt.
ice buildup there can jam the wiper arm. mine once made one wipe ,crushed the ice and stuck till i dumped warm water on them.
i keep em clean and swing the arms out in cold,always", weather.

I know this is four years later so may be that was a good run but is there any permanent fix for this?

Also why are there two different wiper transmission parts?

My impression that one is RHD and one is LHD which I assume means the side the wiper motor is located (and not the steering wheel location). But why would 2007 H3 be able to use both parts as there is a special moulding located on the cross piece that only fits one way?
