Default Driver side of H3 sits a little lower than passenger side

When I stand back and look at my vehicle, I notice it slants a little to the driver side and sits a little bit lower than the passenger. Is this something with the suspension coils? Is it just heavier on that side? Any thoughts or answers would be much appreciated!

lol thats funny.

When these truck rolled out of the factory, the torsion bars are at different measurements (rates). Every single truck has different readings on all ends. Funky isn't it?

But crank your torsion bars an additional 2" and reap the benefits (and a level truck).

Mine's the same way. Drivers side sits lower than the passenger side. From the back, the difference looks substantial.

Yep this is very common from the factory. Dunno how it happens or why. But it does.

It's called the GM lean, has to do with strapping down the truck for rail shipment and fade rate of a brand new T Bar. You can search that as well.

Measure both sides at the finder to the ground and adjust your T Bar bolt tightening the low side (read all the levelling threads for a how to) until it is level accross. You need a 1 1/16" socket with long handled wrench and 5-10 minutes.

I just posted a thread about a week ago with the same problem. Mine is 7/8" lower on the driver's side rear, then the passenger side rear. The front is perfect, side to side. I thought possibly cranking the t-bar would correct this, but, then it would throw off my otherwise perfectly leveled front end. Could a reason for this 'lean' in our H3's have something to do with the fuel tank being mounted entirely on the driver's side, instead of being centered laterally? 23 gal's. of fuel adds approx. another 200lbs. of weight to the driver's side. Don't know if GM compensated for this with a higher spring rate on the driver's side or not, but, then again if they did, it seems with an empty tank, our H3's would lean the other way!

Yes cranking the tbars would help fix the problem. I'd take Docs word though; he's a squared away dude.
